Medical Marijuana Training Course, April 24

Two-Hour Session is OOA Certified, State Approved

(March 2019) The Ohio Osteopathic Association is offering a two-hour Medical Marijuana Training Course at the Columbus Hilton on Wednesday, April 24, 3:30-5:30, which is just prior to the start of the Ohio Osteopathic Symposium. Registration is separate.

The program features Solomon Zaraa, DO, an expert on medical cannabis. He is dually board-certified in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and completed a residency and fellowships at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Currently, he is an assistant professor of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve Medical MarijuanaUniversity School of Medicine and an associate professor at Baldwin Wallace University. He serves as medical director and president of Compassionate Cleveland.

The course is approved for 2 hours of AOA Category 1-A credit. The content has been certified by the OOA as meeting medical marijuana CME requirements mandated by the State Medical Board of Ohio in OAC 4731-32-02 in order for  Ohio licensed physicians to recommend medical marijuana for their patients.

In addition to the in-person program, the course will be offered online in real-time. Online/webinar attendees will be able to interact during the Q&A portion of the training.
